Eating Vegan at TooJay’s Deli

TooJay’s is a Gourmet Deli in the state of Florida, and now that we’re getting a new one in Pembroke Pines, FL (Opening at the End of March 2018, according to their corporate office) I looked up what we as vegans can eat there. I wasn’t expecting to find over 20 items, not counting sides! So bravo to TooJay’s for having more than just salads for those of us who choose to eat without any animal products. All these recommendations are based on the Allergens Menu from November 2018 (the link is at the bottom of this post). Always ask at the restaurant if everything you are ordering is indeed STILL VEGAN.

If I have missed something or you have a #veganhack for TooJay’s, please share them in the comments.

Hi Anna, first remember that I said at the beginning of the post that those recommendations were based on the 2017 allergen menu. I have since updated that to the current one which is the 2018 allergen menu, there is a link at the bottom of the post. I also recommend in the post that you always ask your server before ordering because things can change. With that said, I once again called the TooJays headquarters and was assured the black bean burger patty IS VEGAN the Milk and Egg you see on the allergen menu refers to the bun. Which is why I have on the post the vegan bread options they offer. I hope this helps. and like always, double-check with the servers being that companies change food providers and ingredients all of the time.
